I have an asset that currently allows Public User read access. I want to restrict this to certain users, but when I try and change the access for read permissions, I get the following error:
WARNING: 'Could not Revoke Read access for "Public User" on "Page Contents" because this asset already has Granted Read access to "Public User". The current permission for "Page Contents" has been retained.'
This error appears multiple times for all the child assets of the one I'm trying to revoke access for. I've tried to deny access both via the Public Permission selection, and the Specific Permission selection, but both give me the same result.
How do I remove Public User read permission??!! :blink:
You have to specifically delete the Public User grant permission that should be listed on the Permissions screen.
You shouldn't have to deny the permission afterwards - If a Grant permission is not set, the asset will be restricted.
