Preserving new lines (\n) in form text fields

Hi

 

The forumn posts I've found here regarding preserving new lines in form text/textarea fields state that it's not possible in Matrix.

 

I really need a solution.

 

HELP please.

I think it depends on where and how you are using the textarea. Is this in a custom form and you want to preserve the new lines when printing the value on the thank you page or an email?

 

Have you tried the ^nl2br modifier?

Not yet Bart but am so keen to now - thanks a million, this will save me having to create numerous form fields, each to store multiple lines in a textarea.  Cheers
