Safe Edit - lookups

Can someone confirm if this is desired behaviour in Squiz Matrix?

 

If an asset is put into Safe Edit, any changes to the applied Design/Settings and Lookups/Paint layout are still visible as Live to the public user?

If Safe Edit is not applied to the Design / Paint Layout or nested asset then any changes to these asset will be visible to the public user.

What I have experienced is; if I change which layout is applied to an asset in Safe Edit, it will become visible to the public immediately

Are you still logged in in admin? If you still have a session you will see the changes live.

Try logging into another browser without a matrix session and try.


We are in a world of hurt if we cannot change the look up settings in safe edit.

Correct, changing paint layouts and designs on an asset is not safe editable.

Oh man - the last time I saw that happening I could of swore I was logged into matrix. Thanks Bart for re confirming this.
