I’m finding it increasingly frustrating when searching for an asset with it’s exact name in the Admin Console (_admin) that the result can be mid list, rather than top of list.
Is there any chance that the search algorithm could get improved to check for an exact match on asset name first, and then do whatever search it currently does (I’m assuming free text using some search algorithm).
Happy to squiz map this, but deferring for now.
We are planning on doing some big changes and improvements to the backend search framework in Matrix as part of https://squizmap.squiz.net/matrix/11309. I’ve added this as a concern and area of importance to look at as part of that work.
Maybe also check your weightings to see if there are other attributes/values on assets that have higher weightings set that might be affecting the order? Or alternatively, add more weighting to the name if it’s set to just 1 ?
