Search pages and Calender events

Hi Guys,

 

I have a matrix search page that I would like to use to search single calender events. My csv datasource is  not playing ball so I thought i would just use calender events which would be easy for a Edit+ user to set up and maintain.

 

I however can only  use the asset attribute of start or end date and I would like to use the time that's inputted in on the single calender events.

 

The search is working quickly and beautifully to hand back dates - but I would like to search the time.

 

Please don't tell me that i have to set up a metadata field specifically and re input this information for all the event assets- in order to make it searchable ;(

So are you just trying to filter events based on start date and time? So bring back all events that start after 1/1/14 08:00 and end before 1/1/14 17:00 for example?

Sorry Bart I had only just seen this ! Thanks for the reply! Yes this was to was trying to do. I ended up just using a rolling calendar - it satisfied the events for the day. Thanks for the links.
