Setting up HTML tidy

(Nick Cowie) #1

Running 3.18.2 (will go to 3.18.3 or 3.18.4 soon)
We have HTML tidy on the web server

I assume I need to put the path to HTML in some configuration file to be able to use HTML tidy via System Configuration > External Tools configuration.

But were?

Our 3.18.x releases now use the "libtidy" Tidy module for PHP 5 instead of the command-line version, so the path is not required in these versions

hi mark - i had the server team install the libtidy module for php5 but im still getting the disabled icon on the wysiwyg editor - is there anything else to configure? i guess there is no longer a binary in /usr/bin/tidy so its hard to work out what to do.

any help on this welcome, we are beginning migrating a site but i dont want to let the editing role out until tidy is in place

There are no other steps involved (assuming Tidy is enabled in "System Configuration").

I would recommend lodging a ticket with Support so we can investigate your configuration in detail.
