Is it possible to edit the details of files through the simple edit interface.


I tried doing the http://matrixurl/__data/assets/file/xxxx/file.pdf/_edi



but it gives a can’t be found error.

URLs with __data in them bypass MySource Matrix and go straight to Apache, which is why you cant use this format to access the simple edit interface.


Instead, use a URL like:

http://matrixurl/_edit?limbo_assetid=xxx



Where xxx is the ID of the File asset.
