Simple edit layouts

I've created a very small website and don't have any editing for the owner yet. The content is just a few lists similar to a video library catalog, so the items are created as Data Records with the content as metadata.

 

The client creates the item using a asset builder, and I'm asking what's the best way to edit the item? Would I just create a simple edit layout for the metadata and then apply that to the folder containing the data records?

Yep, that would probably be the easiest and simplest option.

 

You could also use Easy Edit and strip down the functionality for those users so that they only see the metadata screen and can't do much else other than click the Save button, but that might be a bit trickier.
