Something fishy happening with the Link report

:ph34r: Can someone help me out here. I ran a simple link report using the updated version of mysourcemartix which is 3.10.2.


Basically on a standard page i have created three external links :stuck_out_tongue:


  1. google
  2. yahoo
  3. www.cricket.org



    Problem 1:

    well this could be a major or minor problem. When I generated the link report, I could only see two out of the three external links displayed. which are 1) google and yahoo :o



    What happened to the www.cricket.org <_< ???



    Problem 2:



    I have attached the sample link report to show that a comment appears next to the http://www.yahoo.com external link. Saying "The URL returned response " :frowning:



    Any reasons why these things should be occuring???[attachment=142:attachment]

Ok, let me bring some more info:


The "full" response from the www.yahoo.com link is:

    The URL returned response " var now=new Date,t1=0,t2=0,t3=0,t4=0,t5=0,t6=0,cc='',ylp='';t1=now.getTime();

This is visible in Firefox (Mac) however on IE6 PC it does crash the rest of the page.

This is the reason www.cricket.org and the rest of the link report fails to load (Problem 1 and Problem 2).

This is probably a bug and has been reported in the bug tracker here: #1803

I think that report might be a duplicate of #1773

Just to confirm that once you get the fix for bug #1773, the link check will work fine, see screenshot for more info.

Here's a correct screenshot after bugfix #1803.
http://www.google.com returns HTTP/1.0 302 Found

http://www.google.com returns HTTP/1.1 200 OK

http://www.google.com returns HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
