Is there a way to sort assets in an asset listing by more than 1 metadata field?
We have data that needs to be entered as 2 separate fields and then sorted by the first field and then the second field. I have tried combining the 2 fields together into another field and then sort on this but it will not allow this and we get a 'Circular Keyword Reference(s) found' warning.
Does anyone have any ideas? We are running 3.16.13
The only solution I know of to achieve this is by using some SQL queries with the DB datasource asset and then asset listing those results. It's not ideal, and difficult to maintain should the data ever change, or indeed some risk it could cease working in future upgrades.
Your other option may be to use asset grouping to bring together groups of assets sorted by whichever metadata fields you choose. The limitation here is that the groups don't provide you with a straight forward list and require additional formatting and configuration - but you may end up with something close to what you wanted.
