Squiz and Caching

I’m still fairly new to Squiz and I want to understand the relationship between the Cache Manager, the Clear Matrix Cache feature in the tools menu and Squid cache.

Does the Cache Manager cache pages too? How is the Clear Matrix Cache feature linked in with that?

Hi @Bart. Is it fair to say that Squiz-related cache works like this (see below) - generally as in the left hand side and specifically in the case of the Cache Manager’s Details screen (on the right hand side)?
