Squiz session issues

Hi,

 

We have been seeing an unusual problem when we are using squiz matrix. Suppose we open our site in google chrome, we login (via squiz) to edit a page. Next if we open another login screen of any external system(not squiz but any other system, even gmail login page) in the next tab in the same browser window. We lose our logged in access in the squiz site and we are taken to the squiz login screen, so we enter our squiz credentials again and then click on some link, again we are taken back to the squiz login screen. Untill we close the whole browser clear the cache we are unable to use the squiz site. This happens only when using the site and not the squiz backend screen

 

In short while using squiz, if we open an external site login page in another tab in the same browser it breaks our existing squiz login session.

 

We are using squiz matrix V4.16.3. Is this a known bug/ or should any settings in our site be changed? It would be great if somebody could guide me.

Hi Shyana, sounds like a session issue, maybe something chrome does? Are you experiencing the same issue in other browsers such as Firefox or IE? There have been a lot of session improvements and fixes since 4.16.3, so I'd definitely recommend and upgrade.

Hi Bart, yes the problem occurs exclusively in Chrome . Probably we would upgrade and check. Thanks for your reply.
