Suggestion for design manual re: alternate designs

Hi,

I was just going through the process of creating an alternate print design for my site, essentially when the user clicks on a print buton, they get a slightly different design with nav etc removed. Nothing out of the ordinairy. As I was working through the design manual PDF, the reference to accomplishing this is:

    SQ_DESIGN_NAME=printer_friendly&SQ_ACTION=set_design_name"
    target="_blank">Printer Friendly Version

Which obviously works, but leaves your site in the print version. Even if you opened in a new window, the originating window, when next clicked will switch to the print design. For my site, leavin off the SQ_ACTION=set_design_name was more in tune with the result I wanted, where when I closed the new window, the rest of my site is still in its original design. Perhaps mentioning that the set_design_name param is optional and what the effect is if removed would be a cool idea for an addition to that section.

I agree and have forwarded your comment to our documentation person.

the design names also appear to be case sensitive…had me fooled there for a while, so thought I'd post to save someone else the pain.

Hey Dale,

thanks for the information about being case sensitive! I had this exact problem today.
