Twitter changed?

The twitter trigger action documentation needs updating - looks like Twitter has had an update:
To register your system, go to Twitter's OAuth Clients page. and click 'Register a new application'. Follow the prompts, selecting 'Browser' as your Authentication Type…
The button is now labelled 'Create a new application' and there doesn't seem to be an authentication type. The consumer secret key is now just the consumer secret.

Hi Douglas,

The Twitter developer console has changed quite a bit in the past several months, so the docs (and on-screen instructions in the trigger) likely need updating. For now:

  • You don't need an authentication type anymore: "Browser" mode was the equivalent of providing a callback URL, which is what you need to do for Matrix.
  • Also note the instructions to make the app read/write at http://forums.squizsuite.net/index.php?showtopic=9467 - apps are created read-only by default, and you can no longer make it read/write from the create screen - you have to go into its settings afterwards to change this.

Hope this helps, and thank you for alerting us.

I will update the instruction on asset's interface as well as the page in the manual.
