Unable to acquire locks on page when CCT contains a metadata WYSIWYG field

#1

Matrix Version: 5.5.2.0

I’ve created a CCT that contains a metadata WYSIWYG field utilising a simple edit layout.

When in admin mode, I am unable to acquire locks on the page the CCT has been placed on. Browser console shows this error:

Uncaught TypeError: bodycopy_popup.clip is not a function

I’ve managed to narrow it down to this particular metadata field because other CCT’s that don’t contain one work fine in admin mode. Commenting out the WYSIWYG field in the simple edit layout also resolves the issue.

In Edit+ the issue does not occur.

I’m able to work around it in admin mode by expanding the page the CCT is nested on and selecting its specific ‘Content Container’. I’m guessing it doesn’t like the WYSIWYG editors being nested.

Any input on whether this bug has been noted or even fixed in a future release would be greatly appreciated.

We’re having the same issue, glad to know it’s not just us.

I have been using Matrix for over 16 years and am trying to figure out what CCT means here?

Recommend checking them out, they are very useful.
