No worries… will do…
on another quick matter, testing the upgrade procedue from 3.6 to 3.8 and get the following error:
MySource Warning
File: [SYSTEM_ROOT]/core/include/asset_manager.inc Line: 1074
Message: System asset name “login_design” not installed or not known [SYS0209]
if I run step 3 again it errors saying it already exists.
Nobody has reported errors during the step_03 run. Weird error too.
What version were you on exactly? and what is that error on the second run?

Going from 3.6.3 to the 3.8RC1 commercial modules enabled.
when I try to rerun it tells me that system login is already registered and it cannot have two of the same… At home at the moment so do not have full message
think you have to go to 3.6.6 before 3.8.0
3.6.3 to 3.8.0 should work fine, but I would recommend running step3 on your existing 3.6.3 system without upgrading the code to see if any errors are displayed.
If not, try upgrading to 3.6.6 as coolvik suggested. This will require a run of step3 again with some smaller code changes.
If that works, then I'd try the 3.8.0 upgrade.

Hmmm I would have thought a 3.6.3 to 3.8 would have not been an issue as the small increments would be only minor bug fixes.
I will start again today, following the upgrade guide and re-do… could be some failed sql or something that might be causing the problem…
Will let you know
