Use asset type as search query

Hi, 

 

I have a search on my Matrix site that returns 3 different asset types. I want a front-end search option to filter out by asset type, how would I go about this? I can't see the asset type in any of the available fields in the search option.

You could put the %asset_type% inside of a Metadata field, and then search on that field.
