Using dynamic variables in db data source

Hi there,

My objective is to have one shared asset, which can be nested into multiple standard pages. The shared asset then displays different the data source record sets based on the variable get from the nested content.

how do I use asset listing page to get the variable from the nest content and parse it to the db data source and showing the record set assets?

or any other approach to achieve this?

If you have the dynamic inputs set up on the db datasource, and are specifying these in the "Send the following additional GET variables to the asset" area when you are nesting the asset listing in the pages you have set up that should just work - the asset listing doesn't need anything special done to it. We use the setup you describe a fair bit.
