VM spec recommendation

Hello everyone


Running Matrix on VMWare under Debian5 (edit - to clarify: Debian5 guest on W2k3 host). Any recommendations regarding the guest VM's virtual hardware settings? This is a test environment, so concurrency is not an issue. I've had some performance issues, and was wondering if this might be part of the problem.

A good question. As this is also my first experience of VMWare, as well as of Matrix, I just accepted the VM recommendation for Debian5, which appears to have been 384MB, which doesn't sound like a great deal. I've upped it to 2GB, and we'll see if that sorts things out for me.
