This might sound counter productive but our content approvers would rather refresh a view a listing page of assets waiting approval rather than receiving emails. Is there a way to turn off workflow messages? Seems like we can only turn off the Asset Changes Approved message. We want to try and turn off the Workflow Started message.
You can try going to System Configiguration > Messaging Service Configuration, scrolling down to “Log To Email White List” and removing any asset.workflow.x emails you don’t want from the whitelist.
You can reference the messages in https://matrix.squiz.net/manuals/system-configuration/chapters/messaging-service-configuration#Internal-Message-Types to ensure you’re removing the right ones.
Thanks Jason. I assume this is system wide so it will affect all workflow schemas? Is there are way to do this just for certain schemas?
Hi Norman, I believe it’s system-wide - at individual Workflow Schema level you can change the content of workflow messages, but I think that’s it as far as I know.
Not very clean, but if you are only dealing with a few approvers could they simply set up a rule in Outlook etc. to delete Workflow Started messages if that’s their preference?
