Workflow: rejecting all steps + other questions

(Steve Brown) #1

Hi all,

We have a workflow applied that has 2 steps. I would like the option that if I reject at step 2 that it rejects the entire workflow stream (ie the workflow has to go back through step 1 to be re-approved). Is there a way to do this? Currently, after the rejection if the user re-requests approval it skips step 1 and goes straight back to step 2.

Also according to the doco around workflow you have:

"Workflow Started Message
The Workflow Started Message notifies users that the workflow process has been initiated."

What users?

Thanks,

Steve

Oooh. Just found out the answer to question 1. It was happening because the user who was requesting the approval was also in the first approval step group. So it auto approved the first step (trap for not-so-young players).

Been using workflow for long? How many groups and authors do you have?

We have just applied a set of new authors (around 7) to a couple of specific groups (3). Why do you ask?
