Matrix 5.4.3.0 Released

(system) #1

Squiz Matrix version 5.4.3.0 was released today and features a new orphaned assets tool, metadata field morphing, several new keywords and trigger events, and much more.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://matrix.squiz.net/a?id=12905

Nice update, especially the metadata schema morphing.
The other notable feature that has caught my eye is the Westpac Payway Payment Gateway. Is there that much demand for more payment gateways? Would love to see actual Matrix websites utilising Sage, Braintree.

Thanks.

Yea we have a significant amount of users and systems integration to some sort of payment system. A lot of them also use generic integration capabilities using the REST tool, not just using the Payment Gateway Connectors.

We actually also already have a Braintree Payment Gateway that was released back in version 5.3: https://matrix.squiz.net/manuals/e-commerce/chapters/braintree-payment-gateway

Cool.

Are you able to share Braintree or Sagepay examples out in the wild?

Thanks.

I don’t know specifically who uses it, but Braintree has an example of what the dropin-UI version looks and works like here: https://developers.braintreepayments.com/guides/drop-in/overview/javascript/v3

Which is the method the Braintree payment gateway asset in Matrix uses.
