Remote Content and external pdf files

Matrix Version:5.4.3.1

I’m successfully bringing pages from a sister site into our site using remote content assets yet on those pages there’s urls to pdf files.

When the remote content gets rendered on our site the urls get encoded to super long strings. (like on this forum post (Remote content URLs)

When you click the url to download the pdf it tries to render the pdf in the browser and results in gobbledegook.

Is there a way to preserve these urls point to the .pdf files as they are on the remote page?

Thanks

What happens if you set Tunnel Other Embedded Media? to No
?

That is with the setting on No.

I’ve tried a number of different setting to no avail.

Hi
Try setting the ‘Tunnel Linked Pages?’ option to no.
Thanks

Yep, that did it. Quite obvious really I guess.

Thanks Peter.
